Character Name: Nissim Kahn

Species: Scientist (they deserve a ranking all their own )

Personality: Nissim is a very introverted character: he embodies the classic cold scientist, believing entirely in the end justifying the means. He believes in progress whatever the cost and is ruthlessly ambitious. Polite to his superiors, he has a habit of being at best dismissive and at worst arrogant to those he believes beneath him, possessing a callous streak that blurs the line between disregard for others and real cruelty However despite his taciturn outer-personality, the more aware of people might notice a knowing, mocking, laughing glint in his gaze that indicates he is not quite as turned off to everything around him as amused by it. Frighteningly intelligent, he seems entirely absorbed with intellectual persuits over and above any and all known moral, spiritual or physical interests.

Sexual Preference: Unknown. Nissim has never shown indication since arriving on the island towards either sex, nor has he spoken of past relationship. Whether he is just very reserved or actually asexual however remains to be seen

Position: Nissim heads up the research branch of the company, and is at his best in the lab however he remains involved to some degree in most of the aspects of the Organisation, having inherited Terra’s unofficial position as second in command to Angel after her unfortunate defection.

History: Prior to arriving on the island this is largely unknown, only Angel and the Organisation Superiors having any idea of his background. He has proven himself to be a valuable addition to the project however, having discovered several strains, some of which have made it into actuality and many others that are still being tested. He essentially works in the ‘think tank’ of the company, theorising new ideas for research and investigating the initial likelihood of success/possibility before passing on any accepted avenues to the dedicated teams for further research and experimentation. Starting out initially as a dedicated head to that sector he later inherited the second in command position after the person that was being groomed for it met with an unfortunate end after upsetting the Head of the Labs. Learning the lesson well, Nissim has made it his goal to avoid upsetting the lab Head more than he can at all help – he has no desire whatsoever to follow in Terra’s footsteps.

There are whispers however… that the position was not simply thrust on him, but rather he played a part in actively setting up his predecessor. Whether or not that is true has never been investigated however.
